Overview
Ethiopia is one of the oldest nations in history (mentioned 38 times in the Bible and as early as Numbers 12:1). It’s also the place where one of the first Christian missionaries, the Ethiopian eunuch, shared the good news of Jesus with his people. It’s place with amazing people where in 2021 more missionaries are needed. Join It Is Written as we proclaim the everlasting gospel in the second most populous nation in Africa.

Travel Information
Volunteers are responsible for purchasing their own airline tickets to and from Addis Ababa (ADD), Ethiopia. All dates exclude air travel time and any additional excursions taken. You may need to purchase airline tickets a day or two before arrival date due to the time difference. If you choose to arrive earlier than the arrival date or depart after the departure date mentioned above, you will be responsible for payment of any additional nights at the hotel. It Is Written representatives will meet all volunteers upon arrival at the airport. Once your airline ticket has been purchased, email a copy of your itinerary to Maria Rayburn at [email protected].

Entry Requirements
If you are a U.S. citizen, you must have a passport valid for at least 6 months from intended date of return and a travel visa, which can be obtained upon arrival, or an e-VISA.
